To all of our loyal customers:
Many of the precautions that we have adopted in response to the pandemic will continue into 2021.
The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we all live at the moment and we will continue to adapt our business practices accordingly for this growing season. We are in an unusual position in that the demand for our plants and produce will be higher than ever before but our ability to connect safely with our customers still presents some challenges. The health and safety of our family, employees, customers and community at large is our primary concern. We have adopted an online order/contactless pickup system in an effort to maintain social distancing between our employees and our customers in order to keep everyone safe. Updates in our online store will rollout continuously as varieties become ready for sale. The changes that you experience depend mostly on how you usually connect with us, so please read below.
Rochester Public Market
Unfortunately, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided not to participate at the Rochester Public Market again this season. This is not only true for the Flower City Sundays, but also our usual stall (A90) on Saturdays and Thursdays during the months of May and June. I urge our customers to place their orders here (for the largest selection) and pick up their orders at our farm store in Lima any day of the week or come visit us at the Brighton Farmer's Market on Sundays (beginning April 9th) or purchase directly from one of our retail partners listed here.
Brighton Farmer's Market
The Brighton Farmer's Market will be open for on site shopping beginning April 9th. Preordering is not necessary but feel free to do so for plant/potting soil orders. We are only taking preorders for fresh veggies from our Farm Club and Salad Club CSA members.
Our Retail Partners
Our retail partners, the Garden Factory, Abundance Co-op, Lori's, Bristol's Garden Center and VanPutte Gardens will continue to offer some of our plant varieties this growing season and some will also carry our potting soil.
Our Farm Store
Unfortunately, we have had to make the decision to suspend in person shopping at our farm store for the beginning of the 2021 gardening season. This may change as the season unfolds. All retail transactions must be made through our online store. Inventory is live (nothing is sold out yet), varieties will be added daily and will be available for purchase as they are grown out enough to become ready for sale. In general, your order will be packaged, labeled and staged on carts just outside the first greenhouse (or just inside during cold or inclement weather) and be ready for a non-contact pickup within 24 hours or alternatively you can choose a pick up date up to 1 week out. You will receive an automated email from us when your order is ready to be picked up. We are open daily from 10 to 4 for order pick ups.
