To all of our loyal customers:
The coronavirus pandemic is changing the way we all live at the moment and we will be adapting our business practices accordingly for this growing season. We are in an unusual position in that the demand for our plants and produce will be higher than ever before but our ability to connect safely with our customers will present some new challenges. The health and safety of our family, employees, customers and community at large is our primary concern. We will be adopting a preorder/prepay system in an effort to reduce/eliminate all physical contact between our employees and our customers in order to keep everyone safe. Updates in our online store are rolling out daily as varieties become ready for sale. The changes that you experience depend mostly on how you usually connect with us so please read below.
Rochester Public Market
Unfortunately, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided not to participate at the Rochester Public Market this season. This is not only true for the Flower City Sundays, which has been cancelled but also our usual stall (A90) on Saturdays and Thursdays during the months of May and June. I urge our customers to place their orders here and pick up their orders at the Brighton Farmer's Market on Sundays (beginning May 24th), at our farm store in Lima any day of the week or purchase directly from one of our retail partners listed here.
Brighton Farmer's Market
The Brighton Farmer's Market is now open for on site shopping. There is no preordering necessary but feel free to do so for plant/potting soil orders. We are only taking preorders for fresh veggies from our Farm Club and Salad Club CSA members.
Our Retail Partners
We have begun delivering to our retail partners and so far the Garden Factory, Abundance, Lori's, Bristol's Garden Center and VanPutte Gardens are currently carrying our some plant varieties that are ready for sale as well as our potting soil.
Our Farm Store
Unfortunately, we have had to make the decision to not allow "shopping" at our farm store for now. This may change as the season unfolds. All retail transactions must be made through our online store. Inventory is live (nothing is sold out yet), varieties are being added daily and will be available for purchase as they are grown out enough to become ready for sale. In general, your order will be packaged, labeled and staged on carts just outside the first greenhouse (or just inside during inclement weather) and be ready for a non-contact pickup within 24 hours or alternatively you can choose a pick up date up to 1 week out. You will receive an automated email from us when your order is ready to be picked up. We are open daily from 10 to 5 for order pick ups.
Salad Club CSA
There are just a few changes to the way our CSA will operate. Please visit our Salad Club CSA page for specifics.
